Term 4 Week 10 - 16th December 2020 SPECIAL EDITION: YEAR 7-10 AWARDS
That's a wrap for 2020!
Despite the disruptions and forced closures during the school year, 2020 was a year still very worthy of celebrating, with many successes both academically and culturally. In the last few weeks alone, the College has been a hub of productivity; with Liturgies and Mass, reporting, award ceremonies, community giving just to name a few. I can not thank the staff of St Joseph's Regional College enough for their dedication and support of the many programs that are on offer here at the College, by St Agnes' Parish and the Lismore Diocese. I sincerely thank students and their families for their patience and understanding throughout 2020, and for the adaptability demonstrated during Blended Learning.
In this week's newsletter, we feature an overview of the 2020 Year 7-10 Academic and, Service and Spirit Ceremonies. I thank Ms Cheryl Hyde for her organisation of these ceremonies.
Thank you to Mr Timo Gobius, Leader of Evangelisation, along with the Youth Ministry Offices, Chloe Nash and Amelia Stennett for organising the Christmas Mass on Monday. This was a chance for both staff and students to reflect and give thought to the coming new year.
At our Christmas Mass yesterday, Fr Peter spoke to us about the year that was 2020. He prayed for the many families who were unable to properly mourn their loss of loved ones. He expressed much gratitude for the teachers who offered you all much stewardship and care over the past twelve months. Fr Peter reminded us to be grateful for our families and friends and the lifestyle we are all privileged to have despite the obstacles that 2020 has posed.

I would like to extend best wishes to the parents of our Year 10 families, to those families who will see their sons and daughters embark on a new educational journey at Newman Senior Technical College in 2021, and also to other students who are leaving us to pursue other ventures. Thank you for your loyalty and support of our wonderful College, and we wish you well in the future.
At St Joseph's Regional College we have a structured Leadership program and I would like to acknowledge our 2020 Junior Pastoral Care Leaders. To these young Leaders, I can only say that you have done an exceptional job, and you should be justifiably proud of your efforts.
