'Camp Aspire' at Macquarie University
During the school holidays, Macquarie University held their ‘Camp Aspire’ camp. Well done to the following students who took time out of the holidays attend, Year 12 students - Nelson Young, Wilson Hooper, Matthew Gleeson and Brianna Ducker. Year 11 students - Charlie Ross and Luke Banks.

The camp was originally scheduled for January but was postponed due to Covid. During the two night stay on the Macquarie Univerisity campus, students experienced activities that allowed them a taste of what their dream degree would involve, meet external organisation representatives and get involved in Cultural activities. The students also attended a faculty of the university that they had chosen based on their interests.
By attending the camp, students were able to gain the knowledge and experiences that will help them to make a decision on what their tertiary study options are once they finish high school.
Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance
Year 10 & 11 Indigenous students recently attended the Saltwater Freshwater Exhibition and basket weaving workshop at the Glasshouse.
The touring exhibition showcased Aboriginal artists and cultural practitioners from Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Birpai and Worimi nations.
This was a great opportunity for students to view local artists' paintings and weaving work. After the tour, students were taught the art of weaving making their own small bowl/basket using a grass plant and palm fronds by local Aboriginal artist, Patricia McInherny.
