Year 8 & 9 Indigenous Girls Beautify our College
At the end of Term 1, a group of Year 8 and Year 9 Indigenous girls, got creative with paint. The group have painted some amazing and colourful artwork on the back of our new basketball backboards which were installed over the holiday break.
Well done and congratulations on creating some beautiful Indigenous artwork for all to enjoy in our playground.
A special thank you to our Indigenous Education Worker Mrs Carly Taylor, for organising this team building and beautification activity.

The finished results - Amazing!

St Joseph's Feast Day
Next Friday, 30th April we will celebrate St Joseph the Worker Feast Day. As a faith community, we come together to celebrate the Feast of St Joseph the Worker, the Patron Saint of our College.
The day will begin with a Mass before students move to in-class activities, then a lunch shared within their Pastoral Care group and then finally games on the oval.
Students are permitted to wear their sports uniform on this day. Please note: this is a compulsory attendance day for all students.
I invite you to explore the following further information about our Patron Saint, St Joseph the Worker.
ANZAC Day
ANZAC Day is this Sunday, 25th April and as a College, we will commemorate the day on Wednesday during assembly time. The ANZAC Day Service and march have been given the green light to go ahead in Port Macquarie, with the march commencing at 10.00am and the main commemoration service commencing at 11.00am at the Cenotaph. While the community is able to line the streets to watch the Veterans march, unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, our students are unable to march and the SAPSS Marching Band will not be performing this year.
If you have photographs of your family commemorating ANZAC Day please feel free to email them to the College: sjrhport@lism.catholic.edu.au
I thank College Captains, Ella Handley and Joseph Lewis who will represent our College at the ANZAC Day Service.
