2017 Yr 7/8 Schools Cup Netball Regional Final

Our 7/8 netball team did extremely well playing in the All Schools Cup North Coast Regional finals on Tuesday, 25th July.
After the team winning their first two games they moved into the semi finals, winning the semi convincingly against Forster which saw them head straight into the grand final against a very strong Macksville team. This was always going to be a tough game as the girls only won by three shots when they played Macksville in the first game. Half time ended with SJRC having a small lead, the girls needed to maintain playing steady and strong netball in the second half to keep ahead. They did that, extending their lead resulting in a 26-11 win.
It is very exciting, this win has now qualified them to play in the All Schools Cup State final for the first time in Sydney, at the end of this term which will be a great experience for the girls. What a great team of girls representing our College. We are lucky to have been a part of something special during this day.
Well done to: Maddi Baxter, Chloe Eichmann, Bianca Green, Ella Handley, Tarnee Holland, Elsie Roe, Monique Rudder, Ella Smith and Mia Watts.
A big thank you goes to the girls who came to umpire Jennifer Glover, Sophie Newman and Sarah Jennings. Many thanks the parents who came to support.
